Broke Back Mountain

This has nothing to do with TOU.

I just loved that movie, and want to talk about something else besides TOU.

Isn't it amazing how many straight men liked that movie, too? It was a date movie, fer Christsakes.

Is this because the story - of doomed, star crossed lovers - is universal?

Just another variation on Romeo and Juliet.

An analogy between the abuse of the TOU complaint system and the tragedy of Brokeback Mountain could probably be drawn.

To find and draw that analogy is your homework assignment, in no more than three paragraphs. Papers will be due on Wednesday. Class dismissed.

one of the great things about being a grownup is not having to do homework so i'm just gonna sit here and zone out for a minute in my "it's 4pm on monday and i can't wait to get out of here" kinda way and think about your post...

and i'd like to add how much I LOVED brokeback and say that the universal themes of love and loss made it the kind of movie that you'd have to be a real homophobic prick to have a problem with...

I didn't see the movie either, but I think I know what you're talking about.

I'll let my subconscious work on it. I'm not feeling so writerly at the moment.

    Soon.
